Archery
Offered to fourth grade through eighth grade students, Archery as a sport teaches coordination, strength, patience and focus. The Capital Day School team competes locally under the National Archery in the Schools Program. (NASP)
Capital Day School’s philosophy of educating the whole child applies to extracurricular athletics as well as school academics. Athletics provides a chance for students to experience physical and social growth and to learn to be responsible. It also allows teamwork and sportsmanship to be incorporated into the students’ learning environment. Students must pass a physical exam before participating in any athletic activity. All interested and eligible students get playing time on athletic teams.
