Student Council
CDS Student Council is a student government and leadership organization for Middle School students. There are two Student Council representatives for each Middle School class.
Officers for the Capital Day School Student Council are: President, Vice President, Secretary, School Store Manager/Treasurer, and Morning Duty Supervisor. Each year’s officers and representatives are elected by the students at the end of the preceding school year.
The Student Council is the voice of the students on matters of school policy. The Student Council officers run the morning meetings of the Middle School, which occur on Monday and Friday mornings to keep the students connected with what is going on in the school and among its students. The Student Council organizes events and school activities which have included camp-outs, bonfires, lock-ins, ski trips, and Movie and Game Nights for the Lower School students.
