A Capital Affair is our annual Parent Council sponsored fundraising event. It is a wonderful opportunity for our school community to enjoy one another and for our community at large to get to know us. All our parents, past parents, alumni, and other supporters are invited to attend and to encourage friends to accompany them.

The admission price ($45 per person, or $320 for a table of eight) is an excellent value for a fun packed evening in casual atmosphere.

The evening of entertainment includes:

- A delicious buffet dinner
- Live music
- An array of live and silent auction items
- Cash bar

All the money raised by this event is directed toward supporting the various programs Capital Day School provides to its students.

Do you have an artistic flair? Do you love to draw? If so, we are looking for you!

We are searching for the cover art for this year’s A Capital Affair program booklet. The winner of the contest will be awarded a prize and will have his/her artwork reproduced on the front cover of this year’s programs. Several other entries will also be chosen for the inside pages of the programs. So get your creative juices flowing. This contest is open to all CDS students.

Our theme this year is March Madness, because it will be NCAA basketball tournament season. The program will be produced on
8 ½” x 11” paper. Vertical artwork in those proportions works best. The maximum size of artwork we can scan is 11” x 17”.
