Kentucky United Nations Assembly

 Seventh and eighth grade students from Capital Day School participate in the Kentucky United Nations Assembly (KUNA) at the Executive West - Louisville.  KUNA is sponsored by the Kentucky YMCA Youth Assn., Inc. and is a three-day experience in diplomacy that provides students and adult leaders with a greater appreciation for our global community through hands-on involvement with international issues and solutions.   www.kyymca.org/kuna.htm

The conference is geared toward developing students’ international consciousness through role-play as they represent one of the members of the United Nations.  At KUNA students learn the importance of diplomacy as they share the views of the country they choose to represent.
