Summer Program
Capital
Day School’s Summer Program offers safe, fun-filled, creative
summer activities that are age appropriate for preschool and elementary
students. Each age group will have weekly themes that keep the students
engaged with fresh and exciting activities.
The younger program is for students
who have completed one year at CDS, and who will be entering the
four-year-old or Kindergarten program this fall. Younger students
will be lead by Alyssa Rowland, a preschool teacher. There will
be specialized activities, including “Pool at School Days”
and “Fun Fridays” with pizza.
The elementary program is for students
who will be entering first through sixth grades this fall. Elementary
students will be lead by Amber Logan. For this group, activities
will include going to the pool at Juniper Hills Park twice a week,
visits to the public library, crafts, field trips, and presentations
by guest specialists on weekly themes. Students will have the opportunity
to read from their summer book list.
