
Admissions Process



Parent Visit
STEP ONE
We welcome the opportunity to meet you and answer your questions about our program. Please contact the office to schedule an appointment with Shauna Smith, Head of School, take a tour, and receive an information packet.
Admissions Decision
STEP FOUR
When your child is determined to be a good fit for Capital Day School, a contract is offered by the Head of School. In the event that a contract is not offered, clear communication about the basis for the decision will be given.
Completed Application
STEP TWO
Return the completed application found in the information packet along with the $75 one-time, non refundable payment. The application and fee must be received prior to scheduling the student visit.
Return Contract
STEP FIVE
Return the student information sheet and contract along with a $175, non-refundable contract fee which secures a place for your child. Contracts are written for one school year OR the remainder of the school year if school has started.
Student Visit
STEP THREE
Students will visit the school and meet the teacher. A screening will be given and the student will have an informal interview. Lower and Middle School students will need 2 teacher references and a transcript of grades for the current year.
Tuition Assistance
FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE
Some families qualify for financial aid and awards can be granted.
Financial aid awards are determined in March for the upcoming school year.
