  • We focus on teaching the child, not the curriculum.

The Position: We’re looking for an experienced Art Teacher that wants to work part time.

  • Classes take place on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday during the school year.

  • We are equipped to do both in-person as well as remote learning.

  • There is a set curriculum that can be utilized.

Substitute Teachers:
We always need new subs for Preschool thru 8th-grade classes. Capable individuals with teaching experienced (preferred) are encouraged to apply. Our classes are small, and our students are attached to the curriculum, thus easy to manage.
Teaching at CDS:
Every position at Capital Day gives student-centered educators the opportunity to teach motivated, capable students in low ratio setting. Our teachers push children by adopting/adapting demanding, student-centered, and interactive curricula.
CDS is a welcoming and dynamic learning community of children and adults with a progressive traditional track from PK to 8th grade and a Montessori track for 3 year-olds to 9 year-olds. School-wide, our goal is to turn our students into independent learners who can navigate their increasingly complex world with confidence and empathy.
All full-time positions include the option for a health care plan (50% paid by school), retirement plan after one year, and an excellent working environment.
