Why you enjoy working at CDS

I revel in working in an encouraging teaching environment such as that of CDS. CDS allows me to be creative in my teaching strategies and flexible in how students learn. I am able to explore and implement different teaching techniques that address a variety of learning styles. I love the atmosphere of the small class sizes which allows me to develop personal connections with every student. I am able to work with each student on an individual level to enable their success. Hands-on learning is valued and there are many opportunities to go outside of the classroom to learn more. Our 5th-grade program values personal responsibility and an increase in student independence. We strive to encourage student curiosity and aim to develop the student's desire for knowledge.
